Abstract
Introduction
Total joint arthroplasty (TJA), including total knee arthroplasty (TKA) and total hip arthroplasty (THA), are among the most successful surgical interventions for relieving pain and restoring function in patients with advanced osteoarthritis and other end-stage degenerative joint diseases. As the demand for primary and revision total joint arthroplasty (TJA) continues to increase worldwide, optimizing perioperative recovery while minimizing complications has become an essential component of contemporary orthopaedic practice.
